Clinical Pharmacists
Choice QUM has been serving the Quality Use of Medicines needs of independent clinical pharmacists for five years.
We are happy to announce an expansion of our service to support your role under the new framework for the provision of RMMR, HMR and QUM activities.
The new RMMR/QUM model has jeopardised the livelihoods of many clinical pharmacists. RMMR income is set to be significantly slashed from October 1 2011 as GP referred reviews become the only form of funding (for many this will equate to a 60-100% cut in RMMR income). Furthermore, it is expected that non-accredited pharmacists (with supply affiliations) will be in a strong position to obtain the separate QUM component of the traditional funding. Unfortunately, the future of independent RMMR/QUM pharmacists is also at risk internally from corporate supply orientated groups.
As an independent clinical pharmacist partnered with Choice QUM, your benefits will include:
- Protection of your existing clinical income.
- Likely growth of your clinical workload/income into the future.
- A comprehensive and tailored package of clinical and administrative support services.
Choice QUM’s ‘Banner Group’ Approach to Clinical Pharmacy
How it Works:
- Choice QUM’s leading QUM offering is utilised to ensure the renewal and continuation of your existing RMMR/QUM contracts.
- We are specialists in collaborating with GPs and can use our competencies to consolidate and expand your existing GP networks, protecting your RMMR income under the new referral model.
- Choice QUM will administer and promote your RMMR/HMR/QUM activities to ensure your clinical income is not adversely affected after October 1 2011.
- If desired, Choice QUM will then help grow and develop your clinical interests. Key components such as the Choice QUM HMR Digest will promote HMR uptake in your area.
